Itinerary - Chile
Oct 24th
We will drive to Calama and spend the night
so we can visit the Chuquicamata mine the next morning. It is
the world's largest open pit mine. There are daily morning
tours.
Then we'll drive an hour to San Pedro.
Lodging in San Pedro de Atacama Hotel Tulor. They have a
very nice website if you'd like to see the town and
read about the surrounding sights. We stay 3 nights there.
Oct 25th to 27th
During the days we will go see geysers, the
Valley of the Moon, and other natural wonders.
Oct 28th
We spend the night in Calama to be closer
to the airport where we fly from on 29th to Southern Chile,
Puerto Montt.
Oct 29th
Early departure to Calama airport and leave
the car at AVIS airport office. Flight to Santiago and
connection with Puerto Montt flight. Lodging in Raysan Hotel
in Puerto Montt.
